I was contacted by Nicky Mills from MindPhysique about designing her website having previously completed her logo design earlier in the year. I had a good understanding of her business from working with her during the logo design process.
Nicky is a fitness trainer and psychologist, the aim of MindPhysique is to create an organisation that helps people to improve their lives mentally and physically. MindPhysique offers life coaching based around ‘Mindfullness’, with tailor made packages for each client.
Website Design powered by WordPress
The final website design needed to communicate personal growth and happiness as with the logo design. Nicky wanted to add content to her website through a blog, it was decided that WordPress was a good option as it allowed her to login and create post and pages herself. I was able to develop a WordPress theme to best fit Nicky’s needs.
I designed the look of the website to be clean and calm with inspirational imagery in the top slider and motivational quotes. The homepage has some clear calls to action with pricing tables and links to other content on the website. I used whites and subtle grey background textures with accent colours taken from the logo design. I included a nice parallax effect to some of the background imagery which I feel as a nice sense of movement and flow.
The website design is also responsive, meaning it will adapt to display correctly on tablets and mobile devices. Check it out you can resize the browser window to see this in action mindphysique.co.uk
